It always feels weird. I live on a busy street that can easily be trafficked by 500+ vehicles a minute. But after 10pm it becomes dead. So sometimes I walk it for the novelty. Tonight though, A coyote jumped in front of a car going the opposite direction. So I ran home. I also apparently live in Coyote country.

My girlfriends area is Eastern Coyote area. Those things are super damn dangerous because they have almost no fear when compared to wolves or most regular coyotes. Theres just no going out for random walks unless its the middle of the day with plenty of light. That and the bear are also pretty brazen. Nothing scares you like a 600+lb bear walking down the middle of the road in your neighborhood.

I love being out when its quiet. My buddies and I will go for mountain bike rides in the woods behind my house with LED headlamps. We come across the occasional coyote but they keep their distance. We also used to throw the bones from BBQ ribs in tthe fire pit until we realized that brought packs of them to my yard.
